About the Brisket

Uncle Brisket

Like many college students I was living off of ramen and easy mac. Many times complaining about how to make the cafeteria food better. Then I kicked the meal plan to the curb, moved into an apartment with a full kitchen and only a single pot and pan. With the Food Network being one of my favorite channels, I began dabbling in the kitchen. Slowly but surely getting better and more confident.

Then I was given a book of pasta and a Italian cookbook. Soon I was failing to make homemade pasta, curdling sauces, and burning all kinds of things, but that was the past. I've learned from my mistakes and now I have had people wonder why I don't cook more often (For them usually).

Now, I don't use measuring devices... like cups and spoons. Pretty much everything is by feel. Hence, I don't do a lot of baking, but over the course of this food archive I'm sure that will change. I just think cooking is as easy as A.. B.. C.. (I'll let that sink in).
